THE WORD OF GOD

1. The Word of God came to us through the working of the Holy Spirit upon holy men of God.  2 Peter 1:21; 2 Tim. 3:16.

2. The purpose of the Word is to testify of Christ.  John 5:39; Luke 24:27.

3. The purpose of the Word is to make us proper Christians.  2 Tim. 3:16, 17.

4. The Word is the standard of all righteousness and the only rule of faith.  Isa. 8:20.

5. All men will be judged by the Word, for death or for life.  James 2:8-12.  Romans 2:13.

6. The Word is to be written in our hearts so we can live a victorious life in Christ.  Ps. 119:11; Ex. 18:20.

7. The Word is to be taught to our children from very early.  Deut. 6:6, 7.

8. The Word of God is the revelation of Jesus Christ in and to humanity.  John 1:1; Rom. 8:9-11.

9. The Word of God will always be our guide if we study it.  Ps. 119:105.

10.  We are to daily meditate upon the Word through-out our lifetime.  2Tim. 2:15; Ps. 119:148.
