WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS ABOUT: S A L V A T I O N 1. Salvation is only through Jesus Christ. Acts 4:10-12. 2. Salvation is the free gift that God offers all mankind. Rom. 5:15-18; Is. 45:22. 3. We cannot earn salvation or work for it. Eph. 2:8, 9. 4. In order to be saved we must accept this free gift by repentance and baptism. Acts. 2:37, 38; 16:30, 31. 5. Baptism does not save us, but it is a demonstration that we have accepted God’s gift of salvation. Mark. 16:16. 6. God extended salvation to us because He loves us. John 3:16; Rom. 5:8. 7. Satan seeks to destroy our relationship with God so as to jeopardize our salvation. 1Pet. 5:7. 8. As long as we remain in Christ our salvation is secure. John 10:27-29. 9. Salvation involves a renewal of mankind and the earth. Rev. 21:1-5. 10. Not everyone will be saved even though salvation is free. Mat. 22:14; Rev. 22:17; Mat. 7:21.
