Are there more facts as to why Christians can never accept evolution?

In this series of articles I will like to show why biblical Christians can never accept evolution in any form as it relates to our origins and the formation of earth. Those who accept the validity of the Bible's record on origins believe that the Bible teaches that God made this world in seven, literal, contiguous, twenty-four hours days. Darwinian evolution (today, Neo-Darwinism), teaches that everything came into being by natural causes called natural selection. That is, Nature, through random causes, was responsible for our origin, and not God. If God was present, then possibly he was responsible for the spark that bought life into being; he had nothing more to do with the formation of living creatures. Those who believe in theistic evolution subscribe to this involvement by God. The rank and file of Darwinian evolutionists, however, reject even this involvement of God.
In our western world we have been recently reminded of the assertion by Stephen Hawkins in our daily newspapers (Globe And Mail, Canada, 09/2010), that there was no necessity for God's presence in the origin of the universe and of earth. In this article I want to address reasons why we cannot accept theistic evolution, even though it may be taught in Christian institutions.
These false Christian professors teach that in the very beginning God started life, then allowed nature to continue to evolve life as we know it today. We can understand the atheistic evolutionists teaching Darwinism; they either do not know better, or they simply are determined to keep the fact of God out of their reckoning and out of the minds of the young students. They simply reject God, period. But those who call themselves Christians and subscribe to theistic evolution have no excuse for rejecting the biblical account. When they do so they agree that the Bible is not the foundation of their beliefs, and it cannot be understood literally. Therefore, when they teach their false notions of origins they are actually playing into the hands of Satan who wants to sow confusion and rejection of God and his Word.
Here is reason number one why biblical Christians reject theistic evolution. If we accept the theistic evolutionists' assertion that natural selection was responsible for all life on earth, and that God had no part except to give the spark of life, then we make the Bible writers liars; this also means that we cannot accept the plain accounts on creation in the Bible, and that we have to interpret the biblical account of creation according to what science says. Moses, the Psalmists, Jesus, Job, and others tell us plainly that God created this world himself; he did it in six literal, twenty-four hours days. The Bible tells us that God spoke the world into existence. We read in Psalms 33:6, 9, "By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; And all the host of them by the breath of his mouth; For he spake, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast." Theistic evolutionists tells us that this is just a myth, a story, science, say they, tells us the real facts. Whom should we, those who believe in the sanctity and validity of the Bible, believe and trust? The Bible or the theistic evolutionary scientist? If we accept the Bible then the evolutionary scientist is false. If on the other hand we believe the evolutionists, then we make the Bible a liar and untrustworthy. It is either one or the other. We cannot accept both as valid; one has to be wrong. The biblical Christian is either deluded or the theistic evolutionist is himself deluded and anti God's account, even though he calls himself a Christian.
Over the years, hundred of years, the Bible has been proved to be very accurate in its assertions about the history of mankind, even when men had rejected its pronouncements. However, we cannot say the same for science. How many times science (man's own interpretation of what he calls observable data) had and has got it wrong? We were once told that the earth was flat; then we were told that there were only few stars in the sky; next we were told that single cells were simple; again we were told that there were many organs in our body that were unnecessary, left over from evolution, we called them vestigial organs. We were again told that the developing foetus went through the various stages of animal evolution before being born; again we were assured that several creatures were millions of years old, and were now extinct-only to show up in our headlines, having been seen doing well and fine in their habitats! So, my friends, our first reason for believing the Bible is that theistic evolutionists place their knowledge and learning above the biblical account thus making its account false and unreliable; they refuse to take the Bible as accurate, even though the Bible has proved itself very trustworthy. You may take your pick as to which is to be preferred. I will chose the Bible. We will look at other reasons for rejecting theistic evolution in future articles. God bless.
