THE CHURCH

1.  The church is built upon Christ and no other foundation.  Mat. 16:15-18; 1Cor. 3:11.

2.  The church of Christ is also known as the church of God.  1Cor. 1:2; 2Cor. 1:1.

3.  The church of God and Christ is also directed by the Holy Spirit.  Acts 20:28.

4.  God has always had a church on earth since creation preaching salvation to all mankind.  Acts 7:38; 1Pet. 3:18-20.

5.  God is the One responsible for adding believers to the church with our participation.  Acts 2:47; Mat. 28:18, 19.

6.  The purpose of the church is to make disciples by teaching, baptizing, and instructing in the gospel.  Mark 16:15; Mat. 28:19, 20.

7.  The church can only preach the word of God for men's salvation.  2Tim. 3:16, 17; Isa. 8:20.

8.  The church of God is identified as having the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.  Rev. 14:12; John 14:15.

9.  The church on earth is the apple of God's eye, upon which He places supreme regard.  Zec. 2:8; Eph. 5:25.

10. It is God's wish that His people attend the church regularly as they prepare for the end of the world.  Heb. 10:25.
